About the Course

Dr. Moez Khakiani, a prosthodontist, international speaker, and a perfectionist in his work, is heading to Malaysia again in March 2024 to teach you the principles of creating beautiful porcelain laminated veneers for your patients. The course will cover the entire workflow, from getting the right shade and design to the cementation stage, and will incorporate both clinician and technician mindsets.

Dr Moez obtained his MDS in Prosthodontics and Oral Implantology from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, June 2012. He also completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Esthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry from State University of Buffalo, NY, USA May 2007. Currently he practices in a private practice titled ‘Smile Masters & Jaw Joint Matters’ situated at Bandra West since 2006 with special attention towards Fixed prosthetics, Functional smile designing, Full mouth reconstructions and TMJ-Oro-facial pain management. He is also the Co-founder of MIK Dental, an MSME registered partnership firm that undertakes designing and manufacturing of novel dental products. He scripted two books titled “Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics: Starter Volume” and “Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics: Master Volume”, currently in its 2nd edition. He was awarded “Entrepreneur Dentist of the Year” at the EndoCons awards in Ahmedabad, September 2019 and The prestigious “Outstanding Dentist of the Year” awards at FEDA, Dec. 2019, as well as “TMJ Specilaist of the Year” award at HEROS of Dentistry Online, June 2021.

09:00 am – 09:30 am: Lecture – Introduction to the world of Aesthetic Dentistry and Porcelain Laminate Veneers (PLVs)

09:30 am – 10:00 am: Lecture – Case selection, indications, contra-indications and basics of treatment planning

10:00 am – 10:30 am: Lecture – Tooth preparation protocols (step-by-step for 3 laminate-veneer designs)

10:30 am – 11:00 am: Tea break

11:00 am – 01:00 pm: Live demo – Veneer preparation for a maxillary central incisor (all 3 designs), on typodont

01:00 pm – 02:00 pm: Lunch break

02:00 pm – 03:00 pm: Hands-on – Laminate-Veneer preparation for a maxillary central incisor (all 3 designs), canine and premolar on typodont

03:00 pm – 04:00 pm: Lecture and Live demo – Impression techniques and concepts for immediate chairside provisionalization

04:00 pm – 05:00 pm: Hands-on – Impression techniques and immediate chairside provisionalization on typodont

Day 2 (10th March 2024)

08:30 am – 09:30 am: Lecture – Bonding protocols for PLVs

09:30 am – 10:30 am: Live demo – Bonding of veneers on typodont
