About the Course

Essential Implantology is our 7-months programme that is uniquely designed to optimise the learning experience of the clinician. Throughout the course, you will learn about the fundamentals, technicality and practicality of implantology. The vast topics that we covered include surgical, prosthetic, advanced surgical, and digital planning in implant dentistry.

You will be closely guided and mentored by our proficient specialists, namely Dr Syafiq Alauddin (Prosthodontist) and Dr Haydar Majeed (Oral Surgeon) who have completed numerous successful cases of dental implants. Each participant will also have the opportunity to bring ONE patient and complete a dental implant from the initial stage to final stage under supervision. (APC is required)

Dr. Syafiq Alauddin

Dr. Muhammad Syafiq Alauddin is a prosthodontist, graduated from University Malaya in 2011 and University of Sheffield / Royal College Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2017. He is a keen advocate in minimally invasive restorative dentistry and modern practice of implantology. He is a member of Malaysian Association of Prosthodontics (MAP) and currently a full time USIM clinical lecturer. He regularly published scientific articles and lectures to professional audience (dentists) throughout Malaysia.

Dr. Haydar Majeed

Dr Haydar Majeed Mahdey qualified in 2004 with a BDS from Baghdad University, Iraq. He received the Master of Dental Science in Oral Surgery from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2011 followed by one year attachment in Maxillo-facial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya. In 2016, he became a Fellow of the
International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He was awarded a Diplomat from the ICOI in 2019 after passing all the required exams. Dr Haydar has published more than 10 scientific articles in peer-review journals on oral surgery, dental implantology and oral oncology. His current practice is based on soft and hard tissue augmentation using Platelet Rich Fibrin/Concentrated Growth Factor (PRF/CGF), as wellas surgical placement of dental implants for edentulous zone. Currently, he is teaching and practicing in SEGi University
